Work Package 2 aims to develop and provide open access to innovative ex-situ culturing and high-throughput screening protocols for marine microorganisms.

Develop and provide open access to a coherent set of innovative ex situ culturing and high-throughput screening protocols to facilitate state-of-the-art biodiscovery.

Focus on consortia of marine microorganisms with method development aimed to: (1) increase the range of target organisms available for screening; (2) refine methods for high-through-put screening (3) develop methods to optimise metabolite production (4) optimise methods for up-scaling to pilot scale.

Biological and screening resource provision to application focused work packages to facilitate discovery.

Provide project partners and public access to protocols via public online repositories and open access publications. Develop training workshops on the identification and culturing of marine microbes.
