Work Package 1: Bioinformatics Discovery Platform
Work Package 1 will develop a bioinformatics discovery platform for the functional characterization of marine microbiomes to aid in bioprospecting.

Extend existing infrastructures to provide a fully integrated platform for functional characterisation of marine microbiomes suitable for bioprospecting. Establish feedback loops between WP1-4.

Design and apply new approaches to identify, predict, compare, and optimise enzymes and pathways.

Develop computational methods and workflows to model marine microbiome communities and facilitate in vitro culturing of microbes with specific metabolic functions across a range of scales

Produce online training materials and deliver two face-to-face training courses.
