The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a major research organisation working in the best interests of the French State, its economy and its citizens. Thanks to its strong roots in fundamental research, it is able to provide tangible solutions to meet their needs in four key fields low-carbon energy (nuclear and renewable), digital technology, technology for medicine of the future, defence and national security.
In BlueRemediomics, the Genomics Metabolics research unit of the CEA Genoscope is involved in several work packages and help with the creation of a bioinformatics discovery platform with a focus on eukaryotic genome reconstruction and pangenome analysis (WP1), the characterization of enzymes and pathways for UV filter biodegradation and EPS biosynthesis (WP3) and the identification of biological markers of marine ecosystem anthropogenization (WP4). Genoscope’s sequencing and enzyme screening platforms will also contribute (WP2).
